Well its my Birthday today and I was greeted byan in game mail from mel fracis :) (I do like those).
My Mr's had bought me the Heart of Aspects mount and boy do I love it!
Our newly formed guild "Ordo Hydra" is taking shape well and we had gotten the backbone of a decent raiding team in place. Our cshiny new vent server is up and working and things have been all a bit exciting with some more of my IRL friends joining me and now at the stage of gearing up in heroics.
We wanted to keep ordo hydra a fairly small guild of casual/mature player that can have a laugh and get bosses down at the same time. Is this an unrealistic target?
In recruiting a wee bit we took on a few "friends of friends" and all seemed well for a few days and the achievements for our newly formed guild had been flooding in. Then in guild chat one of our new recruits posted a rather cheeky racist comment using a macros. I just ignored it the once and then when his audience was a bit larger he did it again.... This time I had a word. The upshot of it is that it resulted in about 10 mins of argueing in Guild chat and we are now a good tank and a good healer down (honouring their friend). As he left he posted the message aagain and left. (Saved me kicking his @ss).
In my book, its one thing to have a laugh but not at the potential expense of others. This has made me have a good think overnight and while i feel bad for our good guildee's in that they have lost a couple of useful raid members, we have also got rid of the idiot.
Just shows that even trying to keep a small guild of largely IRL friends can cause issues in itself. I still dont want to have a mass recruitment inviting anyone and everyone but perhaps a new faces are required.
Guild recruitment open! :)
